Krest Engineers LLC, a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm registered in Texas and Louisiana, is dedicated to serving both public and private sector clients through offering a range of services, including civil and drainage design, hydrology and hydraulics, site development and permitting, and program management. Krest Engineers possesses the ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to identify their requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs while considering important factors like budget, sustainability, environment, schedule, and safety.

The three founders of Krest Engineers, together with nearly 50 years of combined experience in engineering design and consulting, are committed to excellence through a proactive approach in achieving and exceeding the expectations of clients for each project.

Jim Han, a registered Professional Engineer in Texas & Louisiana and a Certified Floodplain Manager, has been serving clients including TxDOT, Harris County, Fort Bend County, HCFCD, HCTRA, METRO, City of Houston, City of Sugar Land, USACE MVN, LaDOTD, and LaCPRA on a variety of infrastructure projects. With nearly two decades of experience in drainage study and design, H&H modeling utilizing advanced 1D and 2D tools, and stormwater management, Jim is a highly skilled Civil Engineer and H&H Modeler. In 2023, Jim co-founded Krest Engineers, LLC to meet the ever-increasing engineering needs with quality products. In his spare time, Jim enjoys hiking and working on his H&H blog (www.rashms.com) to share his experience and knowledge with fellow engineers.

Sahas Shrestha, a registered Professional Engineer in Texas & Louisiana and a Certified Floodplain Manager, has been serving clients including TxDOT, Harris County, Fort Bend County, HCFCD, City of Houston, City of Katy, LaDOTD, City of Lafayette for 13 years. Sahas has extensive experience in the fields of hydrology and hydraulics including H&H numerical modeling, floodplain modeling and mapping, open channel and watershed studies, detention pond and culvert design. Sahas has conducted floodplain studies, flood risk analyses, and mitigation design for multiple municipalities along the Gulf Coast in Texas and Louisiana. Sahas co-founded Krest Engineers, LLC in 2023 to serve the public and private sector clients.
